Newsflash...

Eating fruit make me fart..

Belly has already got me...

Here is my before photo....

Look at those chins!! I weigh just under 14stone and I am made up of approx 22% Lard. My goal is to lose around 1.5 stone, reduce my lard to around 16% and generally look good naked.

This is how i looked last summer. I was around a stone lighter and some sort of muscle definition. Hmm. I just realised that i started getting fat around the same time I met Rikki...

I want lard

You know when you’re in the gym and you’re slogging your guts out on the running machine? And there is that point when you think, oh fuck this I can’t go on anymore? Well, I think last night was the first time I’d broken through that barrier and continued running. I think my inspiration for this is that my thighs have now started to chaff together when I walk. I am fairly certain this is not a good sign. Anyway, I felt fantastic when I got out!!

I’m starting to think that the key to all this is to set goals. For example, I usually go “oh fuck it. I want cake” at around 3km on the running machine. Last night I set my goal to 4km!! So I think every week I am going to add 1km to my running goal and an extra 5 mins to any other CV machine.

Today, I’m been very good as well. I had a big bowl of sawdust (oops, I mean cereal) for breakfast and copious amounts of fruit. Yey!

Perhaps we should all start running together? We could go on jogs up the southbank after work???????

Before

I think we should have some Before photos posted here. That way we can do a spectacular, channel-four-style reveal at the end when we are all thin and beautiful

YEY

It's 3pm and I haven't had a chocolate bar.

...I really want one though.

Not the best start.

I jumped out of bed on Saturday morning and skipped the gym. I even bought a ton of fruit to scoff for my lunch. That is where the goodness ended.

The diet officially went out of the window on Sat night when I consumed half a cow and a bottle of wine at Steves. Oh and a chocolate cheesecake. Pah. This not eating thing is hard.

It got worse though. Much worse. On Sunday I had a double cheeseburger, an ENTIRE packet of Chocolate chip cookies and four pints of beer. Pah.

I felt so incredibly fat at the pub that I almost cried.

However, today is a new day. And so far so good. So far I have eaten; 1 bag of carrots. 4 Apples and 1 Sainsbury’s Basic cottage pie (I’m broke!). The cottage pie only has 300 calories in it and 9g of fat; so not a total loss.

Onwards and upwards

It's gonna be a long road

So. Here it is. The first day of what is basically the hardest thing I could ever imagine; getting fit!

Ok, I'm not hideously overweight but I know I could feel far better than I do now. Rikki and I have made a pact to lose weight and stop eating shit. Our goal is to swan around Clapham common this summer wearing board-shorts and not worrying about out man-boobs jiggling all over the place.

I think the first step is to record our measurements so we can keep track of our success (or failure!)

It's not going to be easy.
